I had experience with a 'bule' ( local word for tourist/foreigner). We had very long chit-chat and he treated me a dinner in the beach. and when he paid the bill, he was shocked by the price that he didn't agree with. " It's only a Bottle of Water, It's super expensive" He said angrily. I tried to convince him that it was normal price in kind of this place
If you have a personal guide it wouldn't happen. we can buy outside at Alfamart or Indomart, it would be much much cheaper and No body tells a shit to you.

What can we expect from staying in Hotel?
Why not in Local people house? You can learn the culture directly, having a real local food, learn their language and bath in the same bathroom, You could experience more than staying in Hotel. And thing is Nobody tries to trick you. Coz people think you god damn rich. You go holiday with billions cash inside you backpack. You go holiday coz you save money. don't you?
Why no join in social activity around?
it will gain much respect or even more free food and free stay for you.
